Day 1: Bilbao

Pick up at Bilbao airport or your hotel in luxury transport.

Our Basque Country private tour will start with a private guided tour of the Guggenheim Museum, which is housed in an unusual structure by the architect Frank Gehry.

You will visit the city of Bilbao and start by exploring the old town, its markets, its pintxo bars and gourmet boutiques. We will discover some of the main secrets of the city, its history, heritage and culture.​

You will have lunch in La Plaza Nueva with an stunning selection of the most delicious pintxos (Basque Tapas of Bilbao)

The sound of the Nervion river will guide us to the Funicular of Artxanda. Along the river we will be delighted with architectural pieces such as the the impressive "Spider" of Louise Bourgeois, the "Puppy" of Jeff Koons or the stunning "Zubizuri" bridge designed by Calatrava

Day 2: Rioja

Day two of our Basque Country private tour will see us visit Spain’s most famous wine region – La Rioja. Here, you will try the best wines from tempranillo and white viura grapes (the white grapes used to make cava).

To understand everything about the Rioja region we will take you to three traditional wineries with a a completely different approach to their wine making techniques.

For lunch we will arrange a lovely lunch overlooking the vineyards to taste the delicacy of the Riojano gastronomic scene

To finish the day, we will take you to Laguardia, one of the most beautiful places in Rioja Alavesa with its fortified wall, narrow cobbled streets and vineyards and mountain views. You will see why it’s known as one of the most stunning towns in all of Spain.​
Day 3: San Sebastian

On our last day discovering the Basque Country will take you to discover the magic and history of San Sebastian - Spain's foodie capital, with a relaxed walking tour around the charming Old Town, the beautiful 'Petit France', The Comb of the Wind and the picturesque La Concha Beach

We will head to Astigarraga where you will have lunch in one of the best cider houses to taste the traditional Txuleta menu: cod omelette, chorizo cooked in cider and the award-wining Basque T-bone steak equivalent - the Basque Txuelta.

The Basque cider houses are a must since they are a fantastic way to experience how farmers, sailors and other Basque people used to enjoy their food and drink but still do so today in the same way.
